Now getting started with MOBYâ„¢ is simpler than ever! MOBYâ„¢ is available in two basic configurations: MOBYâ„¢ Single-User and MOBYâ„¢ Multi-User. All copies of MOBYâ„¢ ship with the necessary FileMakerâ„¢ software.

Bitter End Systems is also pleased to offer training sessions, custom set-up and annual support and maintenance agreements.

Included in the purchase price is 90 days' access to available upgrades free technical support. You may extend this to a full year by purchasing the Support and Maintenance Agreement. MOBYâ„¢ purchasers are licensing a non-expiring copy of MOBYâ„¢.

Support

Technical support for licensed MOBYâ„¢ users is available in three varieties: the MOBYâ„¢ Forum, E-mail support and Voice support.

Technical support through the Forum is free to all registered users of MOBYâ„¢ at all times.

Bitter End Systems offers E-Mail and Voice technical support to licensed MOBYâ„¢ users. We extend free technical support via phone or e-mail to MOBYâ„¢ users who purchase our Support and Maintenance Agreement. Otherwise, purchasers are entitled to 90 days of free technical support and upgrades via phone or e-mail, after which the cost is $75 per hour for technical support - see the purchase links above for ad-hoc upgrade costs.

MOBY Training Session

Bitter End Systems will provide fee-based comprehensive training sessions to MOBY users for $749. Training sessions are held at the Bitter End Systems training facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Training is spread over a 2 day period and includes:

Importing Data from Distributors.
Creating Custom Orders from Multiple Distributors.
Automatic Reordering.
Diamond Preordering.
Transactions.
Managing Items.
Managing Customer Information.
Managing Subscriptions.
Creating and Managing Customer Rewards.
Creating and Managing Discounts.
How to Customize for Your Store and Needs.

Purchasers are responsible for all expenses they incur, including travel and hotel accomodations. Bitter End Systems can assist you in finding hotel accomodations and will provide transportation to and from your hotel to the training facility. The training fee includes training for up to five people.

Bitter End Systems will also send a representative to your store to provide on-site training for the same fee plus actual expenses, including travel and hotel.

Assisted Startup

Bitter End Systems will send a representative to your store to provide assistance in starting up MOBY™ and the installation of hardware and software for $499 plus actual expenses, including travel and hotel. This can also be done remotely (i.e., not in person) so long as a technically savvy helper is needed onsite.

Custom setup includes:

Installation of Software and Hardware.
Troubleshooting Peripherals.
Assistance in starting inventory entry (we will not assist with actual inventory).
System Usage Overview.
Initial Software/Preference configuration.

Support and Maintenance Agreement

All purchases of MOBY come with 90 days of free technical support and software upgrades. Users may extend this support to a full year by purchasing the Support and Maintenance Agreement for $699. Users may renew their Support and Maintenance Agreement annually.

If a user allows their support agreement to lapse, Bitter End Systems reserves the right to require the user to upgrade MOBY first prior to resubscribing to the Support & Maintenance Agreement.

Hardware Consultation

Bitter End Systems will provide fee-based comprehensive hardware recommendations. The Hardware Consultation will include complete explanation of recommended hardware solutions for your specific circumstances, tailored for current hardware offerings and costs from reputable vendors, including a deliverable parts list and ordering sheet. This is only recommended for users who need assistance in setting up a multi-user environment.

Server Hardware Configuration

Bitter End Systems will provide fee-based comprehensive server hardware setup. If you select this option, Bitter End Systems will take delivery of your server and related hardware, install related hardware into the server as necessary, installation of software, testing, backup configuration, and UPS configuration. In addition, you will pay shipping for sending the configured system to your store.
